Endless Summer Nights

Verse 1:
Our time it was just free
Time to sleep to the cool breeze
Lie outside with the cat in the thunderstorm
Having parties every day
Singing and skipping through the rain
Then simple things as a blanket’s warmth

Chorus:
It was gettin’ late that summer night
We were singing songs by the light
Of the sweating campfire
The whiskey makes us dizzy
Our schedules were so busy
That I even forgot I was so damn tired
We we’re never hurried
So we could live without the worries
We normally have in life
We could do whatever we want
As long as we didn’t get caught
When we had those endless summer nights

Verse 2:
It was my best friend and a camel
And a kid too hard to handle
We were up for anything in sight
Riding front seat in the Viper
Betting twenty dirty diapers
Laughing ‘til we died that summer night

Chorus:
It was gettin’ late that summer night
We were singing songs by the light
Of the sweating campfire
The whiskey makes us dizzy
Our schedules were so busy
That I even forgot I was so damn tired
We we’re never hurried
So we could live without the worries
We normally have in life
We could do whatever we want
As long as we didn’t get caught
When we had those endless summer nights

Verse 3:
It was summer 2009
Truth or Dare, a blindfolded ride,
Godfather, such good times,
It was summer 2009

Chorus:
It was gettin’ late that summer night
We were singing songs by the light
Of the sweating campfire
The whiskey makes us dizzy
Our schedules were so busy
That I even forgot I was so damn tired
We we’re never hurried
So we could live without the worries
We normally have in life
We could do whatever we want
As long as we didn’t get caught
When we had those endless summer nights

The next day the same again
It seemed those days would never end
But all too soon it didn’t feel right
The leaves turned red and pretty
The nights longer and chilly
The rain became a fluffy white
Back to reality
All we have are memories
Of those endless summer nights
